At the Hybrid Workshop (In-Person and Virtual), the NEPA Alliance Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will introduce the Monroe County Transportation Authority (MCTA) to present their Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal Methodology for projects planned during the period of October 01, 2022, through to September 30, 2025. The Workshop is in accordance with the “Consultive Process” per 49 CFR 26.45(g)(1). DBEs, small businesses, and organizations working with DBEs are encouraged to participate and provide input. MCTA will share insight on the methodology used to develop their current goal of 1.0%. MCTA will also provide information on upcoming projects which may be of interest to those in attendance.

To be competitive in the Federal Transportation contracting arena, small businesses may consider applying through the Pennsylvania Unified Certification Program (PA UCP) for DBE certification. The PTAC Staff can support a Northeastern Pennsylvania small business in the PA UCP application process to obtain their DBE certification The PTAC can refer out of region businesses to their respective PTAC to inquire about their PA UCP support.

The event will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, based out of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance PTAC facility located at: 1151 Oak Street Pittston, PA 18640.
