APEX Accelerator support includes registration in systems such as the System for Award Management (SAM), identification of contract opportunities, help in understanding requirements and in preparing and submitting bids.
To sell to a Federal, State, or Local Government Agency – a business must first register as a vendor.
SAM
Registration and maintaining an “Active” and updated status in the System for Award Management (SAM) is needed to sell any products/services to Federal Agencies. There is no cost to register in SAM and the APEX Team can support your registration to begin selling your product/service to the federal government.
PRiSM
PRiSM is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of General Services Small Business, Small Diverse Business, and Veteran Business Enterprise management vendor portal. PRiSM supports the mission of the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities to assist small, diverse, and veteran businesses in competing for Commonwealth contracting opportunities.
JAGGAER
If a business wants to sell their products to a Pennsylvania Agency registration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s JAGGAER Supplier Management System is required. Once registered businesses will be able to access and response to bid opportunities.
Based on business ownership, there are Federal and State certifications which provides a competitive edge.
SD/VOSB
If your business is 51% or more owned by a veteran, then making an application for certification will benefit your business. The PTAC has four SD/VOSB Certified counselors on staff to help during and after the application process.
WOSB
A business, 51% or more owned by a woman, should consider making an application for SBA WOSB certification which will benefit your business. The PTAC has aided many women owned small businesses, both pre/post application
DBE
Are you the owner of a Disadvantage Business Enterprise, there are programs which the PTAC Team can support your navigation and registration as needed.
Once you are registered to sell to government entities, have your certifications in place if appropriate, how do you find bid opportunities.
Bid Matching
The PTAC Team provides support on navigating the various government databases where solicitations are posted, how to define your business profile, and how to decompress once an opportunity is found.
Solicitation Support
You have identified a solicitation, the PTAC Team can help you decompress and review the solicitation to help you build a strong bid response based on the documents work scope, evaluation criteria, and response requirements, but not pricing.
Marketing
After your business registrations and certifications are in-place and you are ready to provide products/service to federal/state/local government entities, the PTAC Team can help you prepare a Capability Statement to market your business to both contract officers and buyers.
